I’m a writer, artist, editor, translator, director, and a full-time writing mentor and teacher. I’m the owner of Behsam International Creative Writing Academy and the co-founder of the upcoming Secret Sarv House. I graduated with a BA in English Translation and studied Ancient Persian Languages and Culture for my MA. I’ve been teaching writing and art for more than a decade, mentoring writers, providing story coaching, and judging writing competitions. I introduced the first English novel writing classes in Iran and have worked as an editor, artist, and art director. I am also the director and producer of podcasts, most notably one of the most popular podcasts in Iran, Oyaho, Yuri! (aka Yuri On Radio). I have been an international writing mentor for years in programs such as Pitch Wars, QueeryFest, and the TYWI Mentorship Program.

I believe in the power of stories, and have been on a mission to help other creators, especially young writers and artists, and creators from marginalized backgrounds.
